Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally celebrates 40 years of the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally

Forty years have passed since the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally lined up for its final rally, and to mark the anniversary the Scorpion brand has unveiled the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally.

Built in a run of just 695 examples, this compact Italian hot hatch makes no attempt to hide where its inspiration comes from: the machine made famous for completing a stage of the Rally of Portugal with only three wheels-and in reverse.

Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally: Blue Rally paint and interior touches

To begin with, the two-tone metallic Blue Rally finish is a modern take on the original Fiat 131 Abarth Rally colour scheme. Matching blue accents also appear inside, notably on the Sabelt fabric seats fitted to the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally.

Hidden “easter eggs” that reference the 131 Rally

Alongside the headline styling, there is also a set of “easter eggs” (small design details that the designers conceal-an Abarth first) that underline the connection between this special edition and the rally car. Among the highlights are the 131 Rally silhouette, which is featured on the lower section of the door, on the Alcantara-trimmed dashboard, and on the seat headrests.

Worthy of its predecessor

Under the bonnet, the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally aims to live up to the car it celebrates, delivering 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm, courtesy of the 1.4 T-Jet.

Those figures translate into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 6.7s, while top speed is rated at 225 km/h.

To ensure its handling matches the brief, Abarth has fitted the 695 Tributo 131 Rally with Koni FSD dampers and a dedicated braking package. This includes four-piston aluminium Brembo calipers, with 305 mm ventilated front discs and 240 mm rear discs.

Fully loaded equipment

Beyond the bespoke look, this limited-run special edition also comes with a long equipment list.

It includes 17” alloy wheels, the Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system (with four tailpipes stacked vertically), and the “Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile”.

Adjustable in 12 positions, it offers settings between 0° and 60° and improves stability through corners. To illustrate how significant this spoiler is, when set to a 60° angle at 200 km/h it can generate 42 kg of downforce.
