If you are considering an electric car or a hybrid, head to ECAR SHOW 2025 - from 23 to 25 May - where Razão Automóvel will have an exclusive area. You can also attend talks on our Auto Talks stage and drop in on a live Auto Rádio session.

DS Nº8 makes its Portuguese public debut at ECAR SHOW 2025

We will be meeting the new flagship from the French brand once again: the DS Nº8, this time at ECAR Show 2025. It will be the first time the model is shown to the public in Portugal.

It is a return to the French model after we first saw it during its global unveiling in December.

Design and cabin highlights of the DS Nº8

As well as introducing a new naming approach - which will be rolled out to other models in the range, such as the updated DS Nº4 - the Nº8 also brings a fresh design direction. Key cues include an illuminated grille and a black bonnet, both offered as optional equipment.

Inside, the standout features include a 16″ central multimedia screen and a 10,25” digital instrument display. Even so, the real sense of luxury is centred on the seats: they can include neck heating and be trimmed in Alcantara or leather.

Up to 750 km of range

The biggest calling card of the DS Nº8, which is electric-only, is its range - set to become one of the highest in the entire market.

It claims up to 750 km with the 97,2 kWh (usable) battery, bettered only by the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ (799 km) and the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance (753 km). On the combined WLTP cycle, the front-wheel-drive (FWD) High Range version lists consumption of 12,9 kWh/100 km and delivers 180 kW (245 cv) and 345 Nm.

There are two further versions available. Entry to the line-up comes via a front-wheel-drive model with 170 kW (230 cv) paired with a 74 kWh battery. It offers “just” 572 km (WLTP) between charges.

For those who want stronger performance, there is the AWD High Range variant, using two electric motors (one per axle) and a combined output of 257 kW (350 cv) and 511 Nm. In this specification, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 5,4s (versus 7,8s for the front-wheel-drive versions), while the top speed of 190 km/h matches the rest of the range.

However, the extra pace comes at a price: consumption rises to 14,2 kWh/100 km and range drops to 686 km (WLTP).

When does it arrive?

The new DS Nº8 can already be ordered, but the first units are only expected closer to the summer. So far, official pricing for the Portuguese market has not yet been announced. Explore it in detail below:
