Mercedes SLS AMG Final Edition to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show

Mercedes will unveil at the Los Angeles Motor Show, which takes place later this month, the final version of the SLS AMG. This model, the SLS AMG Final Edition, will feature changes limited solely to styling.

Introduced in 2010, the Mercedes SLS AMG was immediately regarded as a “nod” to the legendary 300SL Gullwing, while also being a genuine tyre-shredder. As you might expect, that made it the perfect “weapon” for any fearless man who enjoys waking up to the smell of “burnt” rubber first thing in the morning…

However, at the Los Angeles Motor Show Mercedes will show what will be the final iteration of the Mercedes SLS AMG, called the SLS AMG Final Edition. It will be revealed to the public with minor aesthetic tweaks, both outside and inside.

From a redesigned front bumper, a new bonnet and an updated front grille, to the various plaques identifying it as a “special” SLS AMG, this last version of the German “weapon” - the SLS AMG Final Edition - will most likely be viewed by its owners as a collector’s car, without forgetting, of course, the “destructive” streak of this beautiful and powerful machine…

Launch timing and engine

The Mercedes SLS AMG Final Edition, due to be released in mid-February 2014, will retain the same 6.2-litre V8 producing 571 CV and 650 nm as found in the “standard” SLS AMG.
