25 de Abril Bridge to close on Sunday, 8 March for the 35th Lisbon Half Marathon and Vodafone 10K

Road closures on the 25 de Abril Bridge

The 25 de Abril Bridge will have restricted access on Sunday, 8 March, because of the 35th Lisbon Half Marathon. Throughout the morning, the bridge will be completely closed to road traffic.

Timings and alternative routes in Almada

Almada City Council says the bridge closure will begin at 08:00, with reopening scheduled for 12:00. Rail services will not be affected and will continue to run as normal.

Away from the bridge itself, Rua Sociedade Recreativa União Pragalense, near the Pragal Bridge area, will also be closed to traffic from 06:30 until 12:00. The council is advising drivers to plan alternative routes for this time window.

Route and participation: Lisbon Half Marathon and Vodafone 10K

The race starts at the toll plaza and finishes by the Jerónimos Monastery on the riverside. Running alongside it, the Vodafone 10K will also take place, bringing the combined total to around 33,000 athletes of various nationalities.
